Wednesday

Cricket went pear shaped again last night. Had built a nice position on Derbyshire as the Leics wickets started to tumble, and to be honest even with Snape at the crease couldn't see how Leics could win.

Enter Jerome Taylor stage left, I thought he was supposed to be a bowler ;-) should have laid at least my stake back when he hit the first six, but again greed got the better of me as I was looking to cancel out the red I have on Cricket since the start of August. Hopefully this result will make me learn the hard way.

Anyway the rest is history as Snape hit the winning runs with a couple of balls to spare.

Onwards and upwards hopefully. At least I am still in profit this month.

On to the US Golf, although i think Tiger Woods is by far the most likely winner of the USPGA, I just can't be having him at that price. His course form is patchy to say the least. Hence I have laid at 3.2 with the view to backing him back later in the tournament. Will try to provide updates on this along the way.

In the third test between England and India. I am laying the draw. For the first time in this series, I don't see the weather being much of a factor and also England need to try and force a result being 1-0 down. Again I am hopefull I will be able to trade out of this poition at some point over the 5 days.

With the football season due to start on Saturday I have also looked at a couple of longer term bets, updates prior to the start of the season. The main one I am looking at currently though is Torres to be in the top 4 Premiership goalscorers. If anyone wants to lay my 5.5 on Betfair I would appreciate it ;-))

Today could be a quiet day on the betting front - May have a look at the Yorks v Middlesex game later if I want to throw some more money away, and some horses, but I really want to keep my powder dry for the next 4/5 days.

If you have a bet today. Good Luck.
